The opening of Lizzie Calligas’ photography exhibition will be held at the Sismanoglio Megaro of the Consulate General of Greece in Istanbul, on Friday, 4 February 2011, at 19.00.

Visitors to the exhibition will have the chance to see 25 impressive large-scale photos of the Old Acropolis Museum. The lens focuses on the archaic statues of the Kores wrapped in the white cloth which protected them during their transportation to the New Acropolis Museum, their new home. The photos were taken in 2007 shortly before preparations began to transfer the exhibits.
